Handmade Poseable Volcano Dragon by KaypeaCreations Handmade Poseable Volcano Dragon by KaypeaCreations
He is available here! cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?…

EDIT: Took some wayyy better shots ^^

FINALLY! after hours and hours of cutting felt he is done!

This is a OOAK handmade poseable volcano dragon, His feet and head are made out of polymer clay sculpted onto a wire frame so it is completely posable. He is then wrapped in batting so he is super squishy, hand painted with acrylics, sewn up in hand dyed faux fur and for the crackling lava all over is body I used black felt. He isssss about 8inx22in I'll get an exact measurement once i get my measurement tape

He is looking for a good home but uhm caution he will set thins on fire <_< >_>

Can i ask a question?:) whern youy say he is sewn in fur, you sew on the fur in part? i have heard of pople gluing bits of fur little by little? what is easier?

Im not sure what you mean I cut out body patterns and sew him up completely usually in one big piece. I only glue fur when furring a dolls head. I hope that answered your question ^^;

Such magnificent colours, I really love this! I looked up the old Ebay listing, did he really go missing after you posted it? :( That is a damn shame if so, I wonder if he was stolen...? And you had to give the payment back, too? :(

I hope it didn't damage your motivation to continue making these wonderful creatures. By the looks of it, you continued your quest and have made a bunch of very cool things since then. That makes me glad, you have a wonderful talent! I hope to be able to make things like this one day, too!

Keep up the awesome work, and take care! :)

Thank you so much hun! He was "lost during shipment" I have no clue what happened to him Tracking for international shipments isnt very reliable so your kind of in the dark about where its at. Because IT never said delivered ebay took in favor of the buyer and returned the money before It was given to me. So I was out of the doll and money for it. For all I know she could have it by now and just isnt speaking up or its still lost somewhere I honestly couldnt say.

It made me much more reluctant to ship over seas again but so far havent had this happen again. I pray it doesnt again. Other than putting insurance on it and tracking I have no clue how to better prevent this....stupid customs Dx

Thank you for the kind words dear they mean a lot ^^ All it takes is practice as Im still learning :) I still consider myself novice in the art doll  making and cant wait for the day when I am confident in everything I do to say otherwise :tighthug:

Crap. That sucks. Nice doll, though. I've wanted to do this sort of thing since I was a little kid and only now are materials getting refined and affordable enough... People like you are very inspiring to watch. Please don't stop making. All artists lose some works sooner or later. I've lost some, it's not easy, but we gotta keep making more.

The painting and felt look amazing! So much patience, but it certainly paid off. He is just lovely! Glad to hear he has a new home.

You just keep getting better and better at these!

(Also, just curious... do you use an airbrush to dye your fur, or acrylic spray? Because either way, your control is impressive. 'Cause... I suck at that. |D Mine always farts when I'm spraying. Pressure control, baah.)

I got a really cheap set through amazon. XD And really, it saves you a ton of money versus acrylic sprays in the long run. :I Seriously.

But yes, you're most welcome! Seriously looks stunning~

Well, it is rather hard to be honest. Especially the pressure control. You wind up wasting more paint than you use to try and get the pressure stable so you don't get big ugly blobs on your fur. ; v ; But! For full coverage it's amazing. And I'm sure once I get good at pressure control it'll be alright.

Hmmm I recently got one we'll see how awful I am at it xD I looked up videos and researched and does look like it can take quite a bit to get used to specially dual action ones but we shall see! Thank you for the comment ^^
